Cambridgeshire Homecare Framework Tender 2026
Cambridgeshire County Council has launched a new procurement process for its Homecare Framework, offering an important opportunity for established domiciliary care providers across Cambridgeshire and the surrounding eligible areas.
The framework has an estimated maximum value of £773 million and is divided into 15 geographical homecare zones, alongside countywide lots for live-in care and sleeping and waking night support. Providers may rank up to eight geographical zones and can be awarded a maximum of four.
The application process has two stages. Stage 1 requires providers to complete a Procurement Specific Questionnaire, with submissions due by 12 noon on 19 August 2026. Providers that pass this stage will be invited to submit a full quality and pricing response during Stage 2.
The tender is open to both existing Cambridgeshire providers and new entrants, including smaller providers. However, applicants must already have:
A CQC rating of Good or Outstanding
A CQC-registered homecare service for adults
A qualifying local management office within Cambridgeshire, Peterborough or one of the eligible border postcodes
Appropriate insurance, compliance systems and financial standing
Providers that are not yet CQC rated, or that only plan to open a local office after bidding, will not meet the current Stage 1 requirements.
The Home Care Business Builder provides specialist tender-writing support for UK homecare providers, including eligibility reviews, Stage 1 submissions and complete Stage 2 tender responses.
